About Esther-Mireya Tejeda

   

Esther-Mireya Tejeda is a recognized transformation strategist known for stewarding global bellwether brands through the complex challenges of today’s fragmented marketplace. With a track record spanning over two decades, Tejeda masters a unique blend of innovation, strategy, and operational acumen coupled with a people-first approach to leadership and culture. 


A veteran c-suite leader, Tejeda has served as Chief Marketing Officer at Anywhere Real Estate Inc. (formerly Realogy Corp.), Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at SoundExchange, and Senior Vice President, Head of Communications at Audacy Inc. (formerly CBS Radio Inc. and Entercom).  She held senior marketing and strategy roles at Univision, PepsiCo, and Diageo, and began her marketing career at Ogilvy & Mather after several years on Wall Street at Standard & Poor's.


As a transformation leader, Tejeda developed Anywhere Real Estate's first-ever direct-to-consumer strategy, brand, and product suite; she rebranded  SoundExchange as a pioneering music-tech shop with a modernized strategy  and an expanded product suite that monetized its proprietary music data and tech platforms; she launched the merged CBS Radio Inc. and Entercom enterprise on the New York Stock Exchange as a leading audio media giant and launched its digital audio and streaming business under RADIO.COM; and she positioned Univision for an IPO while launching the enterprises’ most profitable division, Univision Deportes (sports), ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. 


With a sharp focus on business efficiency, Tejeda has structured complex transformations, identifying opportunities to maximize the return on marketing investment and fuel business growth through precise strategy and streamlined operations.  An expert business operator,  she has created reporting, analytics, and measurement infrastructures that fuel data-driven business decisioning, standardized operating processes to integrate siloed business units and leverage synergies, and built shared service models that maximize enterprise strategy and scale.  


Tejeda is a disruptor in customer insights, pioneering the use of neuroscience to map in-depth business intelligence that fuels brand value, product strategy, and commercial growth plans. A champion of "emography", she is charting a path for behavioral science and technology to codify human emotions and subconscious drivers as fuel for revenue and market share growth. A leader in this space, Tejeda is a frequent contributor to business journals and conferences globally. 


Recognized many times for her pioneering work, Tejeda has been named a Leading Woman in Marketing by Ad Age in 2024, a Top Woman in Marketing by Chief Marketer in 2023, among the Top 10 CMOs of 2023 by Martech Outlook, a Woman to Watch by PR Week and a Top Woman in PR by PRNews in 2019, among many others.


Tejeda earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University, a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing from The New School, and a certificate in organizational change management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.  


She is a global citizen, a native of New York City, and fluent in Spanish.

  • Led marcomms go-to-market strategy for the 2017 CBS Radio & Entercom acquisition. Relaunched the merged enterprise on the NYSE with a modernized brand, market positioning, and messaging strategy to support expansion into digital audio, streaming, and podcasting.

  • Built the marcomms practice for Univision Deportes (sports division).  Led marcomms strategy for FIFA partnership during 2014 World Cup - landing the most successful advertising and ratings event for Sports division to-date.


  • Launched Univision Deportes mobile streaming and content app.


  • Designed marcomms strategy to position the enterprise for planned IPO event.  Led financial communications strategy and messaging to advertisers, business partners, and media industry during quarterly earnings reporting as part of broader IPO strategy.
